Chapel is a special time each week for students and teachers to come together and praise the Lord. This service, typically held each Friday, is lead by either Pastor Moss or Pastor Johnson and follows the traditional Lutheran liturgy of Matins. Hymns, prayers, and a special message fill this time, and even the youngest of students soon learn how to participate. Class choirs regularly sing in chapel; so too does the middle school handbell choir.
At the beginning of each chapel service a voluntary offering is collected with all money going directly to specific ministries. These ministries are either chosen by our school administration, individual classrooms, or by the students. Past supported ministries include Lutheran Braille Workers, Camp Omega, Crescent Cove, K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry, Sole Hope, and many more. Last year we supported one of our former students and her missionary work in Costa Rica.
