Elementary School
Building a Foundation for Faith and Learning
Laying the Groundwork for a Bright Future
The elementary years are about discovery and growth. At St. John’s Lutheran School, we provide an engaging and Christ-centered education that helps students develop confidence, build character, and embrace a love of learning.
Here, your child will thrive in a supportive community where teachers inspire curiosity, model kindness, and prepare students with the skills they need to succeed academically and grow in faith.
Helping Elementary Students Become…
Students deepen their connection to God through weekly chapel, daily Bible lessons, and classroom visits with pastors. They memorize Bible verses and sections of Luther’s Small Catechism, building a strong spiritual foundation. A Christian worldview is woven into every subject, nurturing faith in every aspect of their education.
Teachers model servant leadership and guide students to practice forgiveness, kindness, and care in their interactions. Older students mentor younger peers, fostering a sense of community and encouragement. A welcoming environment ensures every child feels valued and supported.
Through engaging lessons in math, literacy, science, social studies, art, music, and physical education, students develop essential skills while exploring their world. Teachers ignite curiosity with hands-on activities and inspire a lifelong love of learning, whether in the classroom or outdoors on our beautiful campus.
Students take ownership of their school experience through opportunities like student council (beginning in grade 3) and inquiry-based learning. They are encouraged to voice their ideas, represent their peers, and play an active role in shaping their education.
