Chapel

  Chapel
Each Friday the K-8th grade students at St. John’s Lutheran School participate in chapel. Pastor Briel, Pastor Johnson, or one of the area Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod circuit pastors lead the chapel service. Students learn to use the Matins and Morning Prayer liturgies, sing psalms and hymns, and listen as one of the pastors preach the word of God. Each week one of the classroom choirs sing during the offering. Offerings are given to three different missions during the year.

At the end of each month Baptismal birthdays are celebrated during chapel. Baptismal gifts are given to students near their Baptism birthdate. This gift helps our students remember that they are a child of the Heavenly Father.
